Two words to sum the week up: status quo.
Well, I managed to catch Cape No 7 after much anticipation. It was... disappointing. Maybe because I had blown up its awesumness and watched the trailers with sun-soaked brilliance, which led to overtly-high expectations. It wasn't bad but, it wasn't that great either. The acting was poor, for a start. Van Fan and the Japanese girl had terrible chemistry. There wasn't a shred of attraction between the two which made their sudden passionate love for each horribly unconvincing. They had uh spoken two lines to each other and now, he was telling her not to leave or he'd leave with her, like whut? Yeah right. I didn't get the deeper significance of the love letters either. Hokay, maybe Aga learnt from the writer's mistakes and gathered the courage to chase his love. And maybe, it's a paean to the poignant beauty and permanence of separated love. And other stuff that I, being an hard-hearted flippant youth, wouldn't pick up on but, so? It seemed like an excuse to let the melancholic instrumentals rip, acting as a transitory scene. The love letter scenes lacked emotional impact, yeah. But, there were enjoyable parts too, I guess. The movie showcased the joviality of village life, the humour, the colour and character of the village folk and the community. Soundtrack was good too. MALASUN~ HAHA. Yup, that's what I have to say about Cape No 7.
Oh before that movie, I watched Wild Child with Emily, Leena and Shi Yun. Back-to-back movie screenings, booya. It was fun, frilly, funny and forgettable. But, good time, yea.
Then, Saturday was a productive day. Met up with Nithiya and Yi Le to work on the newsletter proposal. Managed to snag a cosy little alcove in Bishan library, where we proceeded to complete it in 2 hours, whoo. It's good fun working with them hehe. NewCo, always on da moove~ Levi's buttons and whatnot HAHA. We even had our first NewCo outing, which lasted all of twenty minutes heh. Food is the easiest thing to bond over haha. Then, home, where I spent a few more hours on the OGL booklet and the student guidebook. Satisfied nights.
And because I am lazy, here are keywords: Ryusei no Kizuna. Ninomiya's adorkable expressions and Togami Yukinari's awesomely awkward celebratory dances. FAMILY OUTING~ Jaesuk + Daesung = DUMB LOVE. Jong Kook + Soo Ro = Chunderella's Stepmoms HAHA. Rain's Wild Rabbit, YEA! thang. Hyo Ri's cheating ways. FO! Worlds Within Worlds. Sad Jiho and sad Junyoung. Trainings. 30 minute runs in the early, sleep-smeared monrings. Fooling around with a stomp-esque gym musical. Snapjack, snapqueen, snapBruce Lee haha. The Cindy hooha heehee. Utmost pride after near-completetion of the booklets. (32 pages from scratch, I tell you!) Terra walk-in dance practices are happy reunions with the S11 bunch. Misses, misses. Absolute state of denial about homework.
Peace out. :)
