you are impossibly fast. and strong.
Dec. 23rd, 2008 10:27 pmHello, the SAT scores are in. Disappointing with a red capital D. They are neither exceptionally good nor horrendously bad. 700 for reading, 660 for writing and a fricking 630 for maths. I am a disgrace to the Singaporean education system, (in)famous for its rigour in formulas and emphasis on practice. But, this was to be expected. What good could possibly arise from three days' of preparation? No genius after all. I'm such a fool and a wastrel because, I'll have to retake it all over again now.
On a brighter note, we played against the guys today. A full 90-minute, eleven-a-side game, our very first. First thing: it was helluva fun. Heart-pumping, cannot-tear-your-eyes-away-from-the-ball, hugegrinontheinside kind of fun. Second thing: it was... a learning experience, to borrow the most cliched reflection of all. Made alot of stupid keeping mistakes, which resulted in goals galore for the opposition. Damn it damn it damn it. But it is from the heartaches that we glean the grit to pre-empt future heartbreaks. The J2 seniors helped us along too, especially Bo Sheng (?) who kept guiding us and giving pointers. A few others did too. It's very much appreciated, really. Today might have been despairing and frustrating at times but, at least we've got a better idea of what to work on now. Time to read up on all the keeping tips. I've got damn alot to improve on. Need all the help that I can get. :/
Last one: Twilight was alright. Bella was beautiful, Edward was hot, and they kept staring poetically into each other's eyes. That was the gist of it. Oh right, one must remember to add corn-cheese lines, cluttered action scenes and over-used plots to the mix. I really don't understand the hype and the hoopla. But, Bella WAS beautiful and Edward WAS hot, so yeah, I'm shallow lyke dat. Before and after movie: NJ 090 wahoo! Haven't seen them in such a long time. An idiot kept attempting to stuff a $10 note into my bag though HAHA. Nothing escapes zee eyes of a ninjaa! Hehe, I cannot wait to carry the new team bag. But before that, cards to write and envelopes to mail so bon nuit!
