no way, i can't recognise

It is nearly four in the morning and I am supposed to be slogging away at PS essay. Instead, I spent three hours watching 2ne1tv and another hour looking up Lee Hyuk Soo images on tumblr. I sure know how to waste my time. But oh goodness, 2ne1's It Hurts MV was something that I have not quite seen before. Judging from the comments on omtd, many people hated it, or disliked how the MV concept did not seem to fit the jazzy ballad song. But I thought the two melded perfectly. Melancholic, desolate and haunting, isn't that what lost love, or love that faded and flickered away, feels like? I loved how everything in the MV was exquisite and lustrous. From the lush outfits, to the quietly dramatic make-up, to the striking hair-colours and hair-styles, to the gothic decor of the cobwebbed attic, to the dreary dying yard. There was a Tim Burton-esque feel that made it feel so listless and poignant. Okay, I'm gushing a little too much here. Hahaha, time for a picture spam!





This scene took my breath away. It was so beautiful, when the camera did a slow zoom-in on her, perched elegantly on the stone-seat and in full regalia. The nails were a nice touch.













And wow, Lee Hyuk Soo is flawless. I love his face, frame and vibe. His aquiline nose, delicate and defined cheekbones, porcelain skin, almond-shaped eyes. A primary schooler description, I'm sorry, but I'm smitten with his aristocratic aura. Detached, distant, aloof. One is driven to want to know him. Hehe.






Okay, better catch some sleep before starting on the essayyyyy. Bah.

the video wasn't as bad as everyone claimed, though i'm not a fan of the flogged-to-death gothic theme. Park Bom's scenes were my favourite! and i usually hate the anime look. lol i'm such a hateful person.

this song's easily the best out of their mini :D

yeah, i didn't get all the hate in the comments. true, but they did the gothic theme really well, so that made it okay hahaha. she looked really surprisingly good. must be her fair skin. haha they all looked good though. even dara, despite the crazyhair. and lee hyuk soo?!?! swoonzz.

agreeee, i was surprised that they did a song like that. really shows off their versatility.

yeah, they need to quit it with the repetitive fast songs and work on r&b. it's such a waste of Park Bom and Minji's vocals.
