For once, I want to live in cliches. Luxuriate in their tackiness. Believe in the authenticity of the majority. Reblog pictures of the horizon, with sentimental drivel superimposed in capital letters, on Tumblr. (Those that actually incite laughter when I see another reblogging it) Oh, bleed me dry of bitterness. It gets tiring to be at war with everything, or things that are supposed to be effortless and commonplace. The cascade of hours is gnawing at me. Twenty is a tosser.

The last week of nineteen was amazing fun though. Tuesday was dinner with NJSG, the group whom I am always thankful to have in my life. Nothing more than the few of us sitting around, talking and laughing. Happy birthday niaoniao! It was then when we accepted the challenge of G-Max and GX-5. Hehe.

Wednesday was a movie marathon day. X-Men: First Class with the gg4evaz+Mark, which was surprisingly good. Although the dialogue was a little heavy-handed, I loved the solidness of the themes. The parallel between the mutants there and social minorities here are too glaring to miss. I really liked how they developed and explored their motivations, psyche and responses. And hello, there was James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, and Nicholas Hoult. The first two had such chemistry that I could barely keep a lid on my squeals. Hehe! The next movie was Hangover 2. It elicited some laughs, yeah, but the first was definitely better. Met up with Ah Wai, Kek, Yong, Bilys, Jelly and Hubae for dinner after that. It felt right, meeting up with friends whom you have not seen for months, but preserved the goodwill that you had parted on earlier. It was as if time had never continued with its plodding. Ah Wai was subject to the brunt of the teasing (as usual), as we grilled her about her new life in Dublin. It was fun to unleash a more-suppressed side with Kek and Yong around. Inside and off-colour jokes sauntered around proudly. We knew no shame. Hahaha. Cannot wait to meet them again next week.

Thursday was another day spent with NJSG. Preppy was the theme of the day, and boy, did YT and SY rise to the occasion. Hehe! Had a riot of the time at St Games. Raving Rabbids was crazy: veering off rooftops nonstop, sabotaging each other, frantically pumping of hands to escape a rolling boulder. And then, literal laughing our asses off at Super Mario Bros, as we tried to catch the 'horses', but ended up eating and spitting out each other HAHAHA. Then, dinner at Aston's, where we cooked up yet another story about yet another person. Hehe! Headed to Clarke Quay after that, where we had a spot of Monopoly Deal before the Real Deal: REVERSE BUNGEE AND EXTREME SWING. What happened next was the fastest ten minutes of my life. One moment we were buying tickets and taking pictures with a blindfolded birthday girl, and the next, YT and I were buckled and strapped in the capsule. The rest started singing the birthday song, and before the last note, we were flung into the air. SCREEEAAAAAMMMM. That was the worst part. Soaring through the skies, as the wind whistled deafeningly into your ears. And no, wait, THE WORST PART WAS RESPONDING TO THE PULL OF GRAVITY AND HURTLING DOWNWARDS. I really thought that I was going to die. But instantaneously, the fear was transformed into adrenaline, and it was pretty fun to scream your guts out, in accordance to the fluctuating sensations tingling in your muscles. Scary-fun.

After G-Max, I didn't want to go on to GX-5 though. Thankfully, YT dragged me there anyway. Emily and Sihui joined us as well, so it was four of us + Ana the Russian tourist. This was crazy-fun. The worst part was at the start, when we were nearly parallel to the ground, as our weights strained against the belt buckles. Never have I felt more precarious. And then, courage gathering, and in 3, 2, 1, I pulled the lever as we whooshed through the night. Teehee, I started kicking my legs furiously to abate the overwhelming adrenaline/vertigo (?), and it felt nice. Screaming and yelling, giggling and laughing. A wonderful and dizzying night. Text messages, face-to-face greetings, the 150+ facebook wishes. It was a day to love and be loved.

Friday wasn't too shabby either. Met up with Pantages people. Food For Thought had delicioussss food. Went to Playnation afterwards, but not before witnessing (and laughing) at Bunny's trademark bumbling blurness. Rockband and Kinect was hilarious fun! Ace and Steffi were a scream, with their poker faces that do not match with the nonsensical actions of the game. Had a great time with them. Ahhh, miss their company so much! Training that night was especially exhausting, but aww, gg4evaz held a mini-celebration. Unexpected man. But so sweet of them! Hehe.

Saturday was time spent with the family. Red House seafood were a gastronomical treat, as usual. Then, during the night, hours of Monopoly Deal and Pictureka with Ahda and Gus. Sheming or skeming? Haha couldn't stop talking and pointing fingers and mispronouncing words. Ah, family is best.

And today was a return to the laziness of yore. Okay, some of the week overlapped with twenty, but heck. I had a good week. But oh, why does it only last for so long? Till another day!
