Novembers are tough nuts to crack. There is no reading or predictions of events to follow. Time bends and refracts at will, like one-track sunrays and light beams with no minds of their own. Quite unlike the Weather these days, which behaves like a Bratz tween hitting puberty. The mornings can be mercilessly hot with gusty winds- hissy fits and hot air-, yet by afternoons, fat bureaucratic grey clouds hobble to centrestage as dotted skeins of rain unravel from the sky. Indecisive kid. But it is these days that makes living worthwhile. Staring past rain-stained panes, you see buildings, roads and people alike being warmly embraced by something that cannot be controlled or emulated by humans. Something a realm above. Thoughts of the world being beautiful and good feelings about the nature of humankind blossom to replace the jaded mentality of Hating-The-World and Believing-The-Worst-In-People that we so naturally inherit in our teens, along with non-committal shrugs, lopsided smirks and the tucking of hands in dusty denim pockets. It is a refreshing change, for a start. The best feeling in the world is to observe a city trapped in rain as you flash past in a cosy four-wheeled cocoon shared with people dozing off or smiling with white earphones or simply, gazing silently, contemplatively out of wide wide windows. Cheeeese! for that keepsake snapshot. :D
