And finally, it is the weekend again. It feels weird to see days fly past so quickly and in the end, observe that they are all the same- just one unending chain of concepts that skim over my head, funnytimes with funnyfriends and outings&dinners- social (float like a) butterfly (and sting like a) wannabee. I am not making sense now, I seldom do, I don't intend to. I'm tired of school at the moment. Yeah, everything's been peachy, a riot filled with flower chariots, everything's been fine, whistle shoobydaboo with a newspaper-boy cap rested over a stubborn curled lock of downy brown, but really, all I want to get away- up, up the Faraway Tree, Jo, Bessie and me!- stop thinking about Council application, StaR research, homework, and whatever other roadkill on my whizzing, dizzying, super-galactic neuron highway, where cars and buses resemble ants that disperse after waterbombs are dropped to protect that chocolate morsel or just to up the casaulty count. I probably just won the award for the most gramatically-incorrect sentence. I'm competitive like that hurr. Anyway..

the previous week can be summarised into the key words of Road Run, Orientation II dance party, Juno & K Box, soccer, Council interview and soccer. That's a simple, spiffy summary. And now elaboration!

O2 dance party was a sad affair. It flopped around like a half-alive fish (aha! I'm an optimist), gathering some energy to establish its living status to others in between before fading away silently, dead and unrevivable. It was still fun though. High high high! But O1 dance party was HIGH HIGH HIGH. No one can beat Amanda when it comes to 自HIGH. Halfway, we went down for a drink but ended up thristier as there was a cheer showcase of sorts. OMBABA, AYE BA! Then we got tired so Dilys, Tiffany and I headed to the field. It was a nice change of environment. It was black. The sky was indigo. The stars were white, twinkly like the eyes of curly-haired, smiley aunties. The field was tranquil, the silence was unobstrusive. S02 was on the field as well but the darkness enveloped them so we felt safe and alone. Thus, we started doing somersaults and rolled around the prickly grass and ended up with rubber fragments in the hair. Just lying down and staring at the sky was quite an experience as well. Diamond solitaires studded against a billowy, tie-dyed night sky. Such scenes usually depress me entirely but with both of them, heads all together, it was peaceful and :). And that was what I remembered about last Thursday.

Road Run was held on Friday and that was okay. 3.4km was an okay distance, which I completed in an okay time but I walked at some parts so okay, that wasn't really okay. The girls in 08S11 threw all dignity to the winds- unglam or glam, we didn't give a damn- and blatantly took pictures of the guys during their race. Sidekick, SK II, New Comer, Yakult, Cowboy and whoknows whoelse. Okay, it wasn't that bad, hand on my heart. I have a wee leeetle thing for exaggeration. Anyway, went off to watch L: Change The World, which completely sucked, except for adorable, lovable lead character, L Lawliet! The plot, the script, the acting, the pacing, damn, they screwed it up bad. Oh well. Aoizora, aoizora and his beautiful, feathery white hair. I can't wait to watch Sky of Love, mainly because of the guy, so I can't, and shouldn't, complain about L as Sky of Love would most probably have the same traits as well.

Juno didn't, however, and thank goodness for that. I was craving for a good film to watch. I love it, I love it, I'm lovin' it. Juno was the McBomb. It was funny, sweet, heartwarming, heart-stirring, poignant and insightful all at the same time. I'm not in the right state to elaborate further but man, everything about it was wonderful, absolutely delightful. The music, the acting, the script, the characters, the subtle intonations of life lessons and coming-of-age. File that under my DVD Must Buy List.

Right after Juno, we (Dilys, Clarice, Jie Ling, Jonathan, Sheng Hui, Cheryl, North, Wilson, Geraldine) went to Taka to exclaim and jabber away at kawaii things. Then, a sudden decision was made to go K Box. WHOOOO. I am DA OFFKEY QUEEN, although I really don't mind being dethroned. 缓缓飘落~, Summer Nights dance, 爱到, and forgot what else. Laugh, laughed, laughed before going for Dimsum Dollies, which made me laugh even more. Act II was a letdown when compared to Act I. Still. Calvin is damn funny in the deadpan way. Perfect foil to my sister heh. I must learn the art of replying with questions.

Not many significant things happened this week. 3 soccer trainings, 3 fun times. 4 promises made to Dilys to MUG and COMPLETE HOMEWORK, 4 broken promises. In return, 3 reminders to Dilys (or Bilys HAHA) not to take 5 minute naps, 3 nights of good sleep. One first: first dinner with fellow j1 soccer mates today. :D Another first: first interview: Council interview on Wednesday. It was horrible, honestly. Blabbered and grinned foolishly throughout the interview. Most likely unimpressed by my chopped-liver English, wild gesticulations and long pauses. At least, the interviewers weren't nightmare personified, as was the case for Monday's interviewees. Trent was dao and pissed-off but the rest were okay. Phew for Shermin and Daniel who made it easier with their friendly faces. Whatever, whatever. If I get cut, then so be it. Things will work out in the end, potayto, potahto, different names for the same thing. I wonder what possessed me to sign up in the first place. Studies, studies, I need to concentrate on my studies this time around! Math & Science Olympiads, STaR, Orion, DSTA, IMCB, that kinda stuff. Whatever whatever, I'm not going to think anymore, at least for today.

That roughly sums up my week, (n/2)[2a+(n-1)d]= (n/2)(a+l). Nerd is what I aspire to be, is what I need to be, considering how far behind I have fallen syllabus-wise. Bring out the thick glasses, roll out the intense look of concentration, prepare the Evian sprays for the arrival of Nerd Cheong, Neong, xxx, xx, Cowboy! Gaily-decorated floats with no unifying theme often trot past in my parade of thoughts, ie. Chingay. Fractured, screw loose. I think the intermediate neuron got lost in the mail. Here's a reflex response: time -> infinity, body -> bed. Toodles.
