it's my birthday, you find me in da club
Jun. 12th, 2008 04:00 amShards of blatant, shallow commerciality still remain entrenched in me after all, after years spent eyerolling at and smirking snobbishly at the mainstream and the popular. Hmm. I have no idea what the above line meant but idunnowhodunnit, it makes me sound cool and anti-establishment, doesn't it. Oh no, I'm in the mood where I don't understand myself again. This always happens after hours of glazing, waxing and polishing marble eyes with the varnish of monitor glare. It is kind of worrying that it happens so often. Anyway, guess what, I'm seventeen, three syllables ha. Have been for two, three days now and it's nothing different, nothing special. Damn, I forgot to sing that Sound of Music song. Whatsitcalledagain. Oh well. If I could, I would seal up sixteen in a ziploc bag- BOM-BOM-BOM-WHEEEE like how Dilys does it so fine- vacuumpack it and throw it into my backpack of travelling memories. Unfortunately, the year is scattered all over the place, like dirty socks- you'd find a mismatched pair here and there. Irksome and annoying, you have half of it, all you need is the missing half to complete the days but... - so all I can do now is to bring a laundry basket wherever I go and haul as I flow, yo. No, I'm not crazy. Just tired. Anyway...
is my birthday! Okay, I'm sorry. The schtick wears thin after a while. So yeah, I would just like to say THANK YOU to all the people who sent me birthday greetings through text messages, facebook, email (here's looking at you, Cheryl Heng) and in person. It touched me that you guys actually remembered- or rather facebook remembered it for you hahaha- but it's the thought that counts yeah. :D Having said that, it's time to plunge into day-recording mode.
Sunday was a busy bee day. DIMMMM SUMMMMMM!!! Hair-cut!! Shopping. :/ I still don't like shopping that much, thank goodness. Unless, it's for books then yeah well, maybe. :D
So Monday was a busy busy bee day. Morning: Training at Yew Tee, whoo hoo. It was supposed to start at 8.15am but we waited for the rest until 9am hahaha. But it was cool as we entertained ourselves with uh food and shootshagmarry. Didn't do much during training however, which left me a little sad. Nevertheless, it was fun. The taupok failed miserably though haha. A couple of them (ahem Yi Tong ahem Si Hui) got injured while I emerged unscathed haha. Wrapped up training at about 11.30 so off we went to cut the cake. Pretty wallet and tasty cake, thanks guys. :) Then cake fight, and it was free-for-all. Actually more like Leena-for-all but let's not go into details. :D Along the way, talked about One Piece, hair and other stuff with Shiyun and the rest. Ate at Pizza Hut in Lot 1 before setting for school at about 1.30pm.
Reached school at about 2 plus and proceeded to brainstorm about new themes for Teacher's Day. They looked sapped, I was sleepy so we digressed often and widely heh. The best news: I found a fellow 張懸 lover! (Which is super hard to find because so few people know of her. Take a look at livejournal. Nobody shares the same interest as me, which is a huge surprise) And the person is none other than... Yi Le! Whooohooo! We spent quite some time rejoicing in the event of unexpectedly finding a fellow fan and discussing which of her songs we liked best and so on. Shiok manzzz. After that, we moved onto KAP, where we had even more discussion heh.
Oh no, my energy is just about drained dry. Last bit: left KAP at about 7.45 to meet Rachel, Grace, Tiffany and Jia at Holland V. Missed them alot man. It was nice to catch up with them again. :D Yeaahhhh. :)
That's all I have to say now. Today, Wednesday rather, was spent talking crap and doing stupid things with Dilys (ie poke the "frog", "it's JUST a FIELD", "the grass is so clean and green and crude and rude and lewd and..", bet on the fate of the bubble tea shop, the previously-mentioned BOM BOM BOM WHEEEE!, her smelly damp shirt, too many to list), talking and talking with Dilys, Grace and Tiffany (ie earthquake, that certain someone, Cinderella, yltc, etc, banal gossip), watching Kungfu Panda and talking and talking with Dilys and Tiff on the way home. Cool. Socially satisfied. I feel like a Sim heh. The energy's bar deep-red now and I'm about to become the Sim that falls asleep on the floor. Man, I miss the Sims haha. Toodaloo.
