Lately, I have been thinking about things that used to bore me endlessly. Going on google searches for universities and scholarships, deciding on the courses I wish to study in future, reading up on the careers that come attached to such specialisation and ecetera. Yes, I should have probably done this earlier but perhaps, this signals a maturation in thought. (hope hope, my mindset has remained stagnant for ages. Time for a radical shake up, make up, break up ahaha. In the end, I couldn't resist quoting a flaky Korean boyband song) And to my surprise, it feels good to set tangible goals and take active (baby) steps towards hurdling over them. You might find it weird that my hardworking streak is suddenly activated after promos. I find it so as well. It all boils down to the belated realisation that I am seventeen++ (already!) and have nothing to show for the life that I had led thus far. Only now do I get it clear that junior college is not a time for endless mania and senseless play. It is the final frontier, come on! The last bastion of a comfortable and strictly regulated environment, the xx of a xxx, the yy of a yyy. Such luxury, such ignorant bliss. The eureka probably came too late but, I can only hope for the best now. What I can do now, however, is to plan for my future: sit for SATs! shadow an MP! participate in a MUN! attend talks by prominent names! This is what I have to do. This is my life, my future at stake. 9 to 5 in a dingy cubicle smelling of mouldy crackers is not the life I want to be leading. I can't possible afford to play around because in the end, the joke would be on me.

On a different note, the past few days have been fun. K-Box, trainings and Games Festival today. The only sour note would be PW. ARGH, PW PW PW PW PW! "You'll need a total rewrite" and crosses on nearly every page? This cannot be happening. MK had us running in circles. Now I understand the sentiment "ANTI-PW, TOTALLY MAN". But fortunately, there are still a few days left before the submission. All is not lost. NJ 090 is bringin' Glenn Lim back, yo. Ahahaha.

Games Festival was really fun. Terra got first, whoo! Played basketball hehe. Sucked shit but at least, there was "foreign talent" Charis, the ever-pro Yi Le and other Terra people. Walked around with Mylene after that. Melinda must be happy. :D CC~ HAHA. I was (sooper) happy too, after catching C in action. He's surprisingly fast and.. good. Cool. :) HAHA. Headed to the hall for the table tennis exhibition match. Twas fun teasing Grace about Bachang, 小白兔 and company. More codenames, yep. Then, there was GM. There are a lot of things to do and yes, I will do my part. Chao on-ness, on! But I do feel that it is unfair. The school has legitimate reasons for doing so- I understand their point-, but the truth is that it is unfair to deprive people of the opportunity, moreover when people have been looking forward to it. Hopefully, things will work out. Went for training after GM. :) All I have to say is...

Soccer makes me happy. Be it playing or the people I play with, trainings leave me extremely satisfied these days. Sure, though it is frustrating to fail despite repeated attempts to xxx (insert action here), I want to continue learning. Someday, I must play at their level. It is depressing to know that other people are much better than us but, no, no giving up yo! Soccer girls make trainings high too. Think singing and dancing (cringe-worthily) So Hot to Tiffany, Si Hui's kltuziness, Leena's (feeble) attempts at bullying, Emily's random far-out conversation inserts, Shiyun's lameness, Yi Tong's auntieness, Mylene's ahsohness and ecetera. It is a happy day when it is training day. :D Although, I do think that we can train even harder. We shouldn't slack off during trainings. Hope we get a coach by next week!

I think I had too many serious thoughts in the beginning of the post. Time to unwind by watching a trashy cellulite show like 90210. Hoohoo. Till then.

thanks my friend (:
