It has been a heck of a week.
Orientation 1 is well and truly over now. Initially, I was not looking forward to it much but hey, it turned out to be a wonderful five days. Of course, there were worries about the lessons and lectures we had to miss and knowing the blistering pace at which things were taught, signified hell to catch up on. It is hell now. But the five days were well worth it.
Monday: Rushing of homework into the wee hours of the morning. Lectures and lessons. Hectic orientation package distribution. Big screw-up. :( Other stuff. Training.
Tuesday: WALK-IN. I like coffee, I like tea, I like the way you look at me. Photo-taking. Nithiya and Dian Feng have sizzling onscreen chemistry. They make for good rockers as well. Teaching Sean how to be gangsta cool with Yaya. OG Bonding = whacko madness, laughing at the adorable JH3s. Mass dance. Cheering session with the much-missed Huishan. Going bonkers with Yaya again haha. PT, which was quite okay for a change.
Wednesday: Station games. Playing soccer during lunch breaks with the JH3 boys. Pretty pictures in the hall as a benzene ring. (okay, only 4 but still..) More mass dance. Field training!
Thursday: Captain's ball fervour. Some breakfast, soccer during breaks and some more lunch. Scampering all over the school to draw maps, take pictures and the like. Sidetracked halfway by Leena haha. Putting our personal spin on Summer Nights with Nithiyaa. Staying back to prepare for Showdown. Hula hooping competitions. Missing the place to be taped entirely. Cheena song marathon. Being manufacturers of bomb bags with China quality control standards. Delaying the uncle-with-keys to a futile end. KFC dinner, wowzaaa.
Friday: Half a lesson followed by furious tying of water bombs. Then, frisbee wheehee. Water gun battle with the flags of ourfathers houses. Sprinting with the flags. Incessant reminders to stand behind the cones, which everyone ignored. Smashing watercooler-cool water bombs into Zi Xiang, Zi Chao and Yi Le with Nithiya. Drenched. Then, hula hoop hoopla. Hooping showdowns between council and student body, IDEAS and FBU, soccer and squash, rhythmic gymnastics with nifty stunts, olympics pap mickey mouse insignias, hoop hoop hurray. High high into the sky, cheering on the moove~, chasing down and dumping water on rebellious ones and not to forget, Zi Xiang's to-die-for pink bra HAHA. More soccer during breaks and Zi Chao's sneaky water bomb attack. Then, mass dance, which alternated between laughing at Jerren's girly moves, cheering on OG 12~ and laughing at Yi Le's act-cool poses. House session= soccer talk with the ever-eager Keng Yan haha. Dinner= KFC + pizza! and knocking over a 7-UP bottle, which then gurgled and rocketed all over the place to Gabby's and my utmost surprise, while someone just stood and laughed helplessly haha. Then, mopping and clean-up and the establishment of the council bag+food delivery service with Jaslin and Yi Le. I was 70% certain I was going to roll down the slope. It was a funny sight. Jaslin lumbered down strenuously, Yi Le walked like a duck and I tottered to the left- god knows what Lennon stuffs in his bag,- and then attempted a drop-kick on a renegrade 7-UP bottle, which then imitated its friend and spurted all over the place, while the same someone continued laughing. Campfire was kickass. Formed the Talk Cock Gang with Qi Heng, Sri Ram and Keng Yan. Could not stop laughing at their endless stream of crap and their constant mishearings of campfire songs hahaha. Walked up the slope to sit before the water cooler and ramble about Mona Lisa haha, before walking down while making excuses for our absence (hungry, fever, a fall and stomachache) and walking up again because they forgot to use the washroom -.-. More talk, more videos, more mass dances, more photo-taking and curtains up for e(nj)oy: vida la vida 2009. Awww. But that wasn't the end of the night. Clean up, the usual sai kang, then off to Island Cremery for some gosship about relationships haha. It was a memorable day, to say the least.
Although it may not be very obvious, I really liked OG 12. It was great knowing them, everyone of them. Here's to a happy time in NJ for them. :)
This is one of the nights when I can't really be bothered to elaborate. Because that is the nature of days, a string of hilarious incidents and memorable punchlines beaded together. My life has recently consisted of the very awesome British show Skins. The characters are riveting to watch and the drama, simply absorbing. SID, SID, SID. :D And even better, Sid + Cassie. Hehe, till another time. Homework beckons. :/
