It does not matter that you pry open your eyelids and start wondering why there is sunlight streaming through the windows, when it is supposed to be six in the morning. Nor does it matter that you realised that you overslept for three hours and had to get up, get going and get from bed to school in thirty minutes. Neither do minor heartaches, Shaw's pathetic list of movies and showtimes, our own lack of foresight, KFCs crowded with sweaty students, blood-sucking (because money is our parents' 血汗钱, i'm a guai kia) Popular where Cheer Chen's Immortal is retailing at $24.95, coming home to a room devastated by a blitzkrieg of paper planes and all other upsetting things. Because they are nothing, and because there are all the other little beautiful things in life to watch out for. A mother patiently explaining what "audio" meant to her curious little Benjamin, a couple's clasping of hands between conversations as if it is the most natural thing in the world, a strapping fierce-looking student gently pressing the tap for a small boy half his size, a spiffed-up guy tripping over a crack in the pavement and breaking into a sheepish smile. It is during these moments that you realise that life is not going to be all what it is currently made out to be. That there is so much more to come and that sometimes, we are too wrapped up in the present, in the now, that we forget to notice what is ahead. Maybe I'm only typing this to console myself but, for today at least, nothing really matters.

Then again, today was an awkward day. I felt suspended in an emulsion of hazy thoughts and half-hearted actions, which was pretty much how I felt the entire week. There was no time to understand, I simply mimed the movements of a semi-attentive student. This cannot go on any longer though. My grades are in shambles and it is depressing enough to just think about the subjects which we had tests for this week. But I'm not the kind suited for extended emo-ing and it is all thanks to awesome handsome S11 and soccer girls. :) The latter, whom I watched Slumdog Millionaire with, is a real crazy bunch. The juniors crack me up everytime. Not to mention, the old motley crew, with char siew baos, saccharine smiles, incidents at long john's and more. Heehee. I wasn't blown away by Slumdog though. Don't get me wrong, I liked it well enough, thought it was a good movie with great cinematography, flow, pacing, story, songs , but aye, maybe the hype killed the bedazzlement factor. It was good but not great, to me. Ahhh I really want to watch Suspect X and If You Are the One~~

So that's that and after listening to the FFVIII soundtrack, I wish I could live in Balamb Town. Either there or Fisherman's Horizon. Ahh, it has been too long since those days, when we could plop before the teevee and stare at the screen for hours on end. When we could wander around on chocobos, mingle with Moogles and catch Cactuars without a care for inflation, imaginary numbers (as if I don't have enough trouble with real ones) and endocrine glands. Sigh. I'll stop whining here and get to work soon. Till another time.

ahh audrey I have not commented in ages, but I do still read quite regularly (: but two things caught my eye so here I am!!

one's because I love Nobuo Uematsu and I'm no fanatic but if you have not heard the OST for Advent Children. you SHOULD.

two's because I watched Suspect X on Sunday and YOU SHOULD WATCH IT ASAP. I cried like shit it is damn beautiful and damn touching with all your intellectual shit from Death Note. ok not THAAT intellectual but enough to get your brain working and it's so freaking sad, so I highly recommend it!

Ahhh haven't talked to you in ages man. The next time I see you will probably be on the field haha. x)

YES, he's such a genius. His compositions simply stick in your head and heart. He wrote the tunes for that? Ook, I'm checking that out!

And YES, I watched Suspect X on Sunday too!!! But I didn't cry at all. Was it that touching? I loved loved Ishigami. He was such a complex character- ruthless and noble all at the same time. You should watch the Galileo drama when you've got time! It's not so touching but it's very fun to watch hehe.

yeah cos Advent Children is an FF thing? dunno la he does all the FF music yes he's a freaking genius. there's actually an orchestra specialised in FF music like they play all music from FF and they're coming to Singapore my sis and bro are probably going to go watch. cos back in the days of FF 7 and all his music had to be in midi format cos technology sucked but he actually wrote the full orchestral pieces then yeah, it's awesomestuff.

WHAAT YOU DIDN'T CRY? SHIT. clarissa and I were like sobbing la! ok not sobbing that's exaggerating, but we cried a good deal. oh goodness. I thought it was heartwrenching!!! I started at the part they showed the letter then you realise his narration earlier one was because of the letter and all along I was thinking omf please don't turn him into a psychopath nonononono then ARRGHH so terrible.
and then we calmed down but totally started tearing up again at the part he was lying down in the cell and was imagining the Four Colour Theorem all over the ceiling SHITT DAMN SAD LA. and all the flashbacks when whatshername came into his life. HOW CAN YOU CALL ME HEARTLESS. ): ):

anyway yes I thought Ishigami was a brilliant actor...whether or not he looks so worn down in real life. my friend told me the Galileo drama is waaaaaaaaaay better ahah but she said the movie totally sucked and I yelled at her the next day after I watched it. heh.

yea i know, he stopped composing for ff after ff8 though. or maybe, i don't have the soundtracks of the subsequent ones lol. whoaaa really! that's freaking ace. yea, i'll probably drag my siblings along to watch too. talking abt siblings, my bro got into an 1-semester exchange prog with keio university. damn jealous now haha. i wanna study in japan too! :(

hahaha you and clarissa are sensitive souls perhaps. oh yea, the letter scene was really sad cos only then did we realise how much he planned to ensure the safety of them both. and he didn't even care if she thought him a freak or crazy, he just wanted her protected. the scene of him wailing at the police station when seh came was damn damn heart-aching but ahhh, some stupid movie-goers laughed and totally spoilt mood. :@ i never called you heartless btw! hahaa

yes, ishigami was really good. hehe he doesn't look too worn-down to me. he was very funny in yamato nadeshiko, the show with matsushima nanako! hahaha whoa, you're scary man. watched If You Are The One (非诚勿扰) today and it was pretty good. go check out! and i wanna watch departuresss!!
