The small things really do matter. The lopsided halfsmiles, the mumbled tankews, the fleeting interaction with genial strangers you would never see again. I met the most delightful Japanese obaasan on the bus yesterday. It didn't get off on the best of notes,- I kinda jammed my knee into her shin when I slid into the inner seat arghh- and there was the language barrier, but it was a decent conversation, peppered with smattterings of broken Japanese (oh Bunka, I'm the worst spokesperson you could ever have :/) and 'soodesu nee!'. The topics were typical: Japan's way of life, Singapore's way of life, comparisons between the two, family, but dear obaasan, you made my day with your powdered motherliness and warm goodbye wave. :)

The cab driver on Saturday was really nice too. What are the odds man, that he turned out to be a soccer fanatic who played alongside his son in an amateur club. The topic were common as well: why soccer makes people feel the way they do, club loyalty and ecetera. It reminded me of another time on the bus when a guy (who reminded me of Mr Lloyd hehe) started to talk to me about sports. And guess what, he's a left winger who played with Fandi Ahmad before, cool shizz. And Mildred (?), the MG cross-country girl I made friends with after sighting her on 66 a few times a few years back and who turned out to be Sherryeo's good friend, even cooler shizz huh. Anyway, the point I'm getting at is my belated realisation of how vast the world is and how this vast world is filled with multitudes and swarms of people bubbling with pinpricks of thoughts, feelings and experiences. How there are interesting people&objects&locations to be discovered at every turn and how it is important to square the world with an expectant smile, hopeful of the events to come. Yea okay, I am a daft doofus to arrive at this thought juncture after eighteen years, but at least I'm here right. Fug school, fug 3/30s, fug the complicated 'ships, there's gotta be something waiting for you somewhere.

To a roasted chicken: I can't give you any good advice, because I don't know anything about ships and the only ship that I do know is Titanic, and well, we all know how that ship ended up. >.< And also because I am a simple-minded fool, whose life revolves around home, school and cyberspace, but what I can do is to extend the limited offer of free hugs till whenever this is over ahaha. Heck, I'll even throw in the free GOODMEWZIK provider service, PLUS a 10% discount off the listening ear. How awesummm is that!? While stocks last ehermm.

Alright, it is now the time to continue My Queen. I have gotten over the disappointment earlier today, but jeebus, what was wrong with me? What else, what more could I expect? Nothing has changed and nothing will. It is time to ingest and digest that fact. Oh well. Hehe ^.^
