Look, I’m not crazy. I know Pawnee isn’t Paris or London or Chicago. But it’s a great place to live and work. And serving the goofballs in this town is an honor and privilege. And yes, every town claims its diner’s waffles are the best in the world, but somewhere, in some town, there really are the best waffles in the world. So delicious and rich and golden-brown that anyone who tasted them would decide never to leave that town. Somewhere those waffles exist. Why can’t it be here?
Week in and week out, Parks and Recreation manages to capture my adoration and adulation. How... Why... A crucial factor would be the winsome charm of Leslie Knope. Seeing her eyes shine radiant with the love and pride she has for Pawnee, there is no doubt that good things can happen: that people can be wonderful, and the world, even when harried and hurried, can be beautiful. And then, there are the screwballs around City Council and the town, each of whom possesses a distinct flavour (and humour). I couldn't stop cackling throughout those twenty minutes. The facial expressions! The throwaway lines! The delivery and knowing glances at the camera! Tom-Ben and their antagonistic nerd running gag, Tom-Joan Callamezzo and his oily-yet-tolerable flattery, Leslie-the town, Leslie-Mrs Knope and her hilarious moans of dread, Leslie-Eagleton, Andy-Leslie-his imagination, RON-APRIL-ann, oh I could go on and on. The best episodes are the ones where the relationships drive the storyline, because they are so well-written and nuanced. Ever wanted to preserve the warmth of sunbeams and dandelion dreams~~? Watch Parks and Recreation. :)

HAHAHAHAHA GUILTY AS CHARGED. I literally LMAO-ed at this scene and replayed it five times.
