And I have nothing else but ands
Jul. 8th, 2008 08:50 pmAnd finally, I passed a subject. What a relief. I'm not utterly useless after all.
And look! Spiffy new layout. Sure brightens up the whole page now eh.
And I wonder, was life at SCGS that wonderful back then? Sure, there are things about SC that I miss, but not so much to warrant post after post of sky-blue blues. Or maybe, others simply made more of their lives then, fostering stronger friendships and memorable ties, while I was sequestering myself with pretensions of being a 'cultured' individual with unique and varied interests. Oh, how I laugh at my old posts of oneupmanship and attempts to seem educated by finding the most diverse and most eclectic. The situation has not changed much from back then, though. (Swallow your giggles, fool.)
And isn't change a good thing? It is the only passage to progress yet, more often than not, the word is used in conjunction with quirked eyebrows and disapproving glances. If that's the way the new meander flows, and if it ain't drowning anyone, leave it be. Take your pebbles and skim it along some river somewhere else.
And I'm bursting with love for my friends. "Are you sure you don't want to hold my hand? It's fleshy and squishy.", making Dilys blood pressure rise, pinching Cheryl's cheeks, being a cross-canteen escort, doing Franky's pose with Shiyun at the most random of times, Sihui's rolling barrel of laughter and ecetera.
And I should stop offsetting my guilt with frantic apologies, empty promises and general 'nice'ness. Actions speak louder than words- it's time I practised that.
And if things don't roll your way, suck it up and move on. Don't be a mynah and caw incessantly on your perch in the high tree. Fly around and help build the nest with saliva, goo and sticks, idiot. Your vapid comments are not funny. They only serve to remind people of how clueless you really are.
And I'm not in a bad mood. I'm finally saying things as they are. It's amazing to read about all the drama and excitement. Of that, how much is cheap plastic Stik-On stars though, I wonder. Save me a spot in the spectator's bench. I'm going to get my hotdog and fries.
