methrowrockAfter 8 whole days, NJC Orientation 2008 has officially ended. And boy, did it end with a BIG BANG. The dance party yesterday was crazy- Amanda went wild, I let loose and the rest of OG 13, whom I spent most of the night with, became nutzo. It was terrific, tiring fun and a rather perfect way to close the orientation with- culminating in such a high. But I shall go back and recap Day 7 of orientation first heheh.
Yes, Day 7 was the day I had to be transferred to OG 11 (like the kopitiam chain haha). The day started off well as the first thing I saw after boarding the bus was Grace in her FMSS uniform. Wah lau, if she reads this, her ego's going to expand to the point of bursting. Hahaha anyway, talked and laughed about alot of weird crap on the way to school. After reaching NJ however, my mood darkened because Mrs Christine Lew was nowhere to be found. I had tried looking for her on two other separate occassions but failed both times. She'll excel at Hide & Seek, that teacher. Then came assembly, when I was to report to my new OG. Well, it was way better than I thought. OG 11 is a really friendly group. During Civics Admin, most of them came up and introduced themselves, which made me feel less awkward. I seem to be inextricably linked to Tiffany wherever I go man. First, Ryan, who's in OG 20 and OG 13 with me, is her primary school friend. Then, Dilys, also Tiffany's primary school buddy, is my classmate. AND Tiffany knows Audrey Ho, who's in OG 11, from dance as well. 那是所谓的缘分吧。Mass dance later was really fun because I partnered Geraldine and we were both being very drama. I was the male, duh, and the male steps are so much fun to dance. I can't do sexayeee for nuts haha. Gang Bonding was captain's ball, whoo! We pretty much lost all of our games but heck, it was great to run around and jump about for a ball. Maybe I'm missing netball hurr. Got pretty high during The Inter-Gang Mass Dance Competition. Kept screaming and hooting, whoooooo!!! Yeah. Agorix won 2nd and 1st, Tyraz won 1st and 2nd, WHOO haha. Audrey is such a sassy dancer, booyah for her! :) After dismissal, we went to the basketball to play more captain's ball, which was quite a funny affair. Before that, Geraldine, Dilys and I ran around the track. 400m did it for me. How am I ever going to survive soccer tryouts? Zomgoo. Anyway, on the whole, Day 7 was a fun day as well. But I still missed Vanessa, Grace, Amanda and Jing Xi. I have always prided myself to be quite an independent person, ie. the kind who would make her own choices and not be swayed just because friends are taking another option, so yeah, I surprised myself when I wanted to change my combi to stay in OG 13. It didn't come through in the end, however. Ah well, maybe this is an opportunity for me to learn more things and make more friends so I'd make the most of it. I'd just have to make a greater effort to stay in touch with the 4 of them.
Then yesterday. WAR GAMES! Man, it was tremendous fun to pelt others with fat, taut water bombs and seeing their stunned expressions/hearing their ZOMGZ! shrieks and getting chased around by them, all set for revenge. Heheh, I must have worked out my arm muscles as well because I kept going to refill the buckets. Yup, War Games was breathless, exciting enjoyment heheh. The LST alliance won in the end, booyah! We all went to change after that and since we had alot of time remaining, we played all the diao-ded -_- guess-the-pattern games eg. Meh Meh, Around the World in 80 Days, Did the Leaf Fall, Fuzzy Wuzzy and etc. I still don't get the trick for Black Magic and the coin game though. Then Mass Dance again! This time, we learnt the traditional Summer Nights dance, which was tons and tons of fun because the song is wonderful to jive to. After that, it was the Inter-OG Auction. It was damn funny zomgoo! There was an item, with the description of "Tyraz", and an OG bought it for what, 80+ points and it turned out to be GREEN PAPER. HAHA. And before that, Wei Wen, the Tyraz house captain, said it was edible HAHA. Then another OG paid 100+ points for "something soft" and 'edible', which was actually TISSUE PAPER. And another OG paid 80+ points for "something in a cup" and also proclaimed "edible" by Wei Wen and in the end, it was a stalk of grass stuck in mud and cotton wool. "Edible by cows" HAHAHHA. Went for dinner at Pizza Hut in Bukit Timah Plaza after that. It was fun. Talked to quite a few more people like Grace, Cheryl and Min Li. :) We then ran quickly to the bus stop because we were already 45 minutes for the campfire but as it turned out, we weren't the only ones because OG 13 boarded the bus at KAP too. (!!) I was delighted because it was so unexpected heh. Yup, so talked to them till we reached school. Rabu rabu is in zee air~~ :D
Okay, I must start another paragraph for the dance party. We had the greatest shock when we arrived at the hall. It was near pitch dark; the music was blasting away; there were people on stage gyrating; the floor crowd was jumping furiously; there was a DJ; there were laser lights that projected funky disco-esque lights onto the ceiling. There was even a smoke machine, how's that for cool!? Everyone was high inside, screaming, cheering, singing along to the songs. At first, Dilys, Cheryl Heng, Clarice and I couldn't quite find our bearings because it was so dark. Did a couple of mass dances as people ran past us in human trains. Then suddenly, Amanda and Grace found, shrieked and pulled me into one so all four of us followed it, jumping and cheering along the way hahaha. Amanda's really funny- she kept jumping to the "more happening" trains so we all just followed her and got high! I kept laughing and laughing at the smallest and stupidest of things hahaha. Found the OG 13 people eventually and stayed with them for the rest of the night because I couldn't find OG 11 when I went back to find them. As it was dark, we were all misled by the impression that nobody would recognise so we all danced like crazy and freely. Think I embarassed myself many times last night, but it was the last day of orientation so heck! Heheh. HAHA Grace is damn weird. She suddenly wanted to do waltz so she kept twirling around the hall with Cheryl. Amanda was super high too. Everyone was, basically. It was especially fun to do the mass dances because we know all the steps now and can do it really energetically. Yeah man, it was a night to remember. We were all really sad when it ended. Did all the YAAAAA!, Tyraz and combined house cheers to end it off. We'd actually wanted to crash HCI's but exhaustion was taking control so we went home. Except one thing: HCI's ended about the same time as ours and as their bus stop is ahead, all the buses that arrived at NJ's stop was packed full. How irksome haha. So in the end, Grace, Ryan, Cheryl and I walked to their stop to fight for a better chance to board the bus. Saw quite a few SC people like Jesslyn, Lauren, Jia Jun, Rui Ling and Pearlyn. Finally boarded the bus with Grace at about 10.45pm. As usual, we talked about alot of stuff on the way back. Yeah, it's always NICE talking to her hahaha. Urgh, on the other end of the spectrum, eye candy is so dao and rude can. I was being friendly and even made a joke but he just went "umm" with a disinterested look. 这样，长得帅也没用啊。Never mind, he's very compaitable with someone I know hyak hyak! Rabu rabu~~ HAHA.
Phew, that was long. Yup, so that was how my orientation ended. It started off slow and boring but it managed to end off with a blast. The people in NJ are all very friendly, the atmosphere's warm and united, and I like the school surroundings. I think I'd stay on, if I could. Humph. Well, that's talk for another day. I cannot wait for lessons to start, to tell the truth. Naive, perhaps but the allure of new notes, new syllabus, new expectations and new teachers~! I'm going to work hard, promise. Alright, time for Gossip Girl hahaha. Till then.
