The weekend is here to save the day again, tadaaah. It has been a long long long week and I am pretty much wiped out. Am I nearing breaking point? Am I being over-stretched? No, maybe, perhaps, I don't know. Life was pretty easygoing back in the day so I never experienced much stress before. Time will tell probably. For now, I am content if I can kick off my shoes, flump onto a bouncy (bouncy smack smack) bed and start reading National Geographic. Call me crazy but I find reading NG, Time, Newsweek, The Straits Times and the like to be extremely therapeutic. It is a calming experience to learn about stuff outside of the syllabus- think meiosis, spindle formation, metaphase- and even better, when you can connect events with textbook knowledge, id est the controversy of the neon gene being inserted into a human embryo, which then leads to the deliciously grey branch of knowledge called ethics. Moreover, this month's NG is a special issue on China. (!) If you didn't know, I am hugely fascinated with China. It is a land pulsating with possibilities and burning aspiration. Of vaulting ambition, gritted-teeth toil and warm, roots-from-the-earth sensibility. Of surpassing the mediocre, the amateur and the normal to be the best, the outstanding, the extraordinary. Tenacity, zest, spunk- qualities that I lack, admire and hence, desire. And and and the scale of things there- a full, diverse spectrum, veering from one extreme to another, all points well-repesented. The interactions, the upheavals, the dipping and rising trends- it's all magnified in China. You don't even have to mention the history and culture. Nope, I'm not a CCP propaganda machine in disguise, it all stems from a fervent wish to be part of a giddying, manic, feverish tide that would sweep me to somewhere more meaningful and exciting. Hahaha, I'm weird like that.

Anywayyy, to shorten things, this week has been about (1) GPP on Monday (GAAH, TA MA DE, DEPRIVE ME OF 2398327 HOURS OF SLEEP!) (2) 10 rounds on Tuesday (3) Training with Arion at Kovan (4) 3 people training today (4) Cinderella "stalking" HAHA (5) Making Dilys "sweat" :( (6) The 9 crazy people from 08S11 :D (7) Soccer girls :D (8) drowning in homework, more specifically Math (9) Bickering with Cheryl HAHA (10) Invented language, weird actions, noises and burps with Melinda (11) Being unkewlx especially around Cinderella and curlycurly (12) currently forgotten funnytimes. And since I am feeling lazeeee, I shall go off to sleep now, tralalala~.
