And the boredom strikes again! It is funny how holidays play out. There are clearly many things to do- watch this anime, hunt for that show,- but somehow, you can never muster enough energy to do it. That's right, no energy to slack and one ends up doing something else, something unprecedented. I guess, in a way, that reflects the spontaneity of life. The fluidity of time that allows it to conform itself to the vessel of activity. And so, I take the liberty to procastinate writing about Amelie once again. That and studying for the SATs, reading the 3 books that I had hungered for so long, editing Ideas' proposals, catching up on lost Time (the magazine, good pun??) drawing up a comprehensive homework list and striking off the bullet points one by one, to do this very meaningless meme, stolen off Emily's blog. Hehehe. My days are so empty without trainings..

The Power of Threes )

Last words before I log off: Song Hye Gyo and Hyun Bin look so good together! The World That They Live In has the one of the best-looking Korean screen couples ever. SHG is gorgeous. Lublubxx. Till then~ :)

Slowly but surely, you see these messages popping up all over the place. Facebook display status, MSN personal messages, blog posts and every nook and cranny of cyberspace: "PW is done", "xxx is relieved that OP is over" and pledges to delete all PW-related documents off the face of this Earth. At last, we are absolved from this terrible chore of Project Work, the task that has weighed down on us for the past 9, 10 months. Sure, nobody died, no houses got blown off, no chimneys torn off, but I'm just glad to see the last of Glenn Lim's face. Good bye to you, your "father, who was a man of few words", your "mother, who now listens more than she talks", your "quintessential values", your changing from a "selfish individual to a selfless man". But, thanks for all the learning points; all the soon-sepia memories of vacant hours spent in front of Powerpoint slides; all the laughs while slaving over a 40-paged Written Report; all the skiving off on Pet Society, onigokko episodes (important research material!!), spazzing over Koyama-kun, facebook stalking and other things five teenaged girls get up to in an enclosed area; it was an interesting "Journey". :) But it dragged on long enough, so kthanxbaiii~~

before that sunset time )

But, there was some inspiration after watching Amélie today. I can't believe I didn't watch it earlier. However, it is the wrong place and wrong time to ramble about it now. Maybe tomorrow. Till then.

Because I am bored. Because I am lazy to think. Because I am escaping from rehearsing my "Good morning ladies and gentlemen" schtick. Because I am back-dated. Because I am obiang, old-fashioned, ulu, wols, n00b, [insert similar expressions here]. That's why-, kthxbye!

To borrow Jia's catch-phrase: SIAN JI PUAAAAAAAAAAAA~. (note the drawn out syllable at the end- it conveys and elevates the element of boredom and half-annoyance.) Yet, today has been sorta a good day. GM first thing in the morning, PW practice next, training in the afternoon and Asian Civilisations Museum in the evening. Yes, we are civilised Asians who like to save money by going for an event with free admissions. And free ice-cream, booyah. Still, a couple of things hit a raw nerve today. You would think, given the whole school spirit shebang, people would learn to live and let live. Perhaps I am being unreasonably harsh but, humans generally do respond genially to good ole tact and smile diplomacy. Oh well. All I really want now is a few quiet, uneventful days spent cooped up at home, reading, watching movies, marathoning dramas, something that does not involve conversations and social engagement. I'm starting to dislike watashi all over again. Emo schmo, off to watch Gintama for some laughs now.
