And life never bothers to stop in its tracks. Instead, it careens on at full speed, burning acrid rubber and leaving broken bits of tyres behind. Common Tests are over. Investiture is over. And now what- which station have we screeched into now? There is an uncountable number of pitstops along this trail, but I was never good at reading diagrams and lines intersecting with circles. Besides, isn't it ever more romantic to bolt past the automated doors and bound happily into sparkling sunsets? Unfortunately, romance and reality run on parallel tracks and all you can do is to greedily plaster your nose close to the windowpanes and stare/glare at the carriage opposite. Maybe somewhere in the future the two paths will converge, but for now, it is time to crank that rusty accelerator and power fullsteam ahead. Hopefully, the wheels won't start coming apart. And I gotta admit that I will miss the 41st more than expected. :/ Seabear songs are the best songs to listen to while recollecting the days of gangsta inclinations, stomach-splitting laughter and being on the mooove~ (if you know what I mean.) What we have left now is what we once were.

It is one day to the common tests and surprisingly, I'm feeling pretty chill. Maybe it is because nothing would change the outcome: however hard I try, the effort to arrest the overflow of red ink and crosses is futile. Again and again (and the cue for 2pm's song starts here), I know this scenario of last-minute cramming and selective studying too well. From next Tuesday, I will get into ignition. But for now, ten hours is the limit for me and tomorrow is going to be a (hopeful) full twelve of maths, maths and nothing but math. YAY. Until Wednesday then, when I will probably crawl back with scraped knees, defeated and depressed. Fortunately, I have my new favourite, NyLas, to console me. :)

I found this song on a mixtape posted on this site. Do give it a try. It's beautiful.

let's go far away to the humming meadow )

And now, time to start work after nine hours of Full Metal Alchemist, tv shows and messing around with livejournal. I can't seem to set my priorities straight; I need study buddies. (!!!) And people to make pledges with: no facebook since last wednesday, no youtube since this wednesday, no 豆瓣 since last night, no anime and no tv since this morning.. But, here's to betting that I would find another time-waster soon enough. >.>

epic fail

In the past week, I have:
watched The Education of Charlie Banks (okayish),
watched Rainbow Song (mehh),
watched I Love You Man (hahaha),
watched Milk (faaantastic!),
blazed through 11 episodes of Eden of the East (favourite anime of 2009 thus far),
laughed my way through 4 episodes of Family Outing,
grin throughout at least 20 hours of 2PM youtube videos,
vegetated before 3 episodes of Star King,
did a Physical Chem test and failed it terribly,
mucked through a grand total of not more than ten hours of studying.

Sometimes, I feel like smashing the reflection in the mirror to bits. And now, a chapter into Chem, I wonder why I ever chose to do these subjects anyway. Slacker 4 lyfee. I don't want to face the world; I don't want to face reality; this is the generation of NEETs. Leave me to live as a hikkikomori please. Sidenote: 500th entry, whoo.
