The Pursuit of Capital Letters

Yesterday was the first (sort-of) outing with MT people. Granted, it happened after training, but hey, it was still pretty fun. Trooped to Vivo with JE, XH, D, and K to catch The Fighter- because we were too unkempt for townie fashionistas- and boy, it was a bloody good show. Lolol did you catch the pun? Anyway.. ( ramble bramble )

And after that, sarcasm, Oscar-worthy acting, and the nearness of places. Skating around Candy Empire, wanting but never needing sweet treats. A funny train ride home, no thanks to the banal banter between JE and D. There should be more days like these, but no, it cometh and it goeth away haha. School starts in... three days! But first, Sunday! Wonder how it'd be likeee. Well then, bye.

Etta James is the perfect voice to sway to on Christmas day. So I have spent the afternoon laughing at Korean celebrities and rooting for Peggy Olson/swooning at the elegant beauties that are Peter Campbell's hands, but hey, it is still a pretty swell time on its own. Family, the comforts of home and the temperamental drizzles outside, what else does one really need? Tomorrow is Boxing Day, and I am going to have dinner with my favourite soccer girls. :) A very Merry Christmas to all.

Sitting here in a darkened room, as the rain bristles gently tickle the windows, it is not hard to be not unhappy. Double negative: ha, that's the tricky part, as I recently learnt after watching Scott Pilgrim Versus The World. Which was a pretty crazy and surprisingly good film featuring the ever-winsome aw-shucks doe-eyed (and all the other similar-veined hyphenated adjectives that one can think of) boyish charm. Oh no, trademarked rambling in action again. Anyway, so here I am, constructing a thin facade of wanting to run yet lamenting over-exaggeratedly about it being grey and rainy. Who am I kidding? These days are the best days, even if it would mean my inevitable struggle during training camp next week. But that would be a tale for another day further along the time-space continuum. Ha.
